The Heart of the Great Glen

We sit halfway along Loch Ness, where the Great Glen cuts Scotland in two. To the north: Inverness and the North Sea. To the south: Fort William and the Atlantic. To the west: Glen Affric's ancient forests. To the east: the Cairngorms plateau.

This is the Highland crossroads. Everything you came to Scotland for is within an hour. But step onto our twelve acres and you'd never know.

Getting to Ancarraig

The journey is half the experience. Whether you're winding along Loch Ness on the A82, rattling through the Cairngorms on the Highland railway, or flying into Inverness at sunset—you'll know you're somewhere special long before you arrive.

We'll send detailed directions with your booking confirmation. The A82 along both Loch Lomond and Loch Ness is one of Scotland's most scenic drives - be sure to allow extra time for photo stops.

We can arrange a local taxi for pickup (approx £60), or you can arrange to hire a car, collecting at the station. Having a car gives you freedom to explore the Highlands at your own pace.

Inverness Airport is small and stress-free. We recommend hiring a car for exploring the Highlands during your stay - there's so much to see beyond Ancarraig and you will need one to truly explore beyond the park itself.
